Basket Mold Construction
Basket Mold constrution consist of build a frame to hold female forms. The forms are made from lofts at 20" increments along the length of the boat. The panels are then stapled into place in the mold. The staples hold the panels (or chines) down and into place. Bunge cords are then placed in between the forms to pull up on the panels and hold them against each other (closing the gaps). The ends are done by using the stitch method. By using copper wire to tie the panels (chines)together.
